Johanna Zackenfels
Johanna combines analytical rigor with a clear understanding of political processes.
She works on public affairs and political strategy projects, with a particular focus on developments in highly regulated sectors at the EU level. In this context, she brings together in-depth research with legislative and media monitoring, while analyzing political, economic, and societal stakeholders. Her work focuses on institutional frameworks, political dynamics, and the question of how complex projects can be strategically assessed and implemented in Europe.
Previously, Johanna worked at FGS Global, an international communications and strategy consultancy, in the areas of government affairs, public policy, and public relations. There, she worked on projects across energy, mobility, and health.
Johanna brings an international perspective from her studies at the London School of Economics, as well as from additional academic stays in the United States and France. As a sociologist, she enjoys working across perspectives, languages, and cultures. In doing so, she identifies patterns, builds connections, and develops broader analytical insights.
Outside of work, Johanna enjoys a group run, spending time in exhibitions, and learning Chinese.
